Goals:
For the students to become involved in a lively interactive game on
the Internet that pertains to "survival on a ship."
Resources:
- Computer databases and Internet access
- www.yahoo.com
Time frame: 1 to 1.5 hours
Procedure:
1.Ý For the teacher to explain to the students how to get
to the website that includes the Interactive Game.
2.Ý For the students to access the interactive game
"Waterworld: Quest for the Mariner."
Ý- Go to Ebscohost search engines
Ý- Type in movie reviews
Ý- Click on "Yahoo-Entertainment: Movies and
Films"
Ý- Click on "Interactive Games"
Ý- Scroll down to "Waterworld: Quest for the
Mariner"
Ý- Allow the students to experiment and play the
Waterworld interactive game.
Assessment:
- All the students in the class must have gotten the chance to
play the Waterworld interactive game.Ý (Criteria for
success = Every student successfully completed the steps to find
the interactive game, and every student had a chance to play the
game at least one time.)
