Research Interests
- Oxygen exposure time, quantified as the length of time organic matter is exposed to oxygen prior to permanent burial, and can be calculated as a function of sedimentation rate and oxygen penetration depth into the sediment
- Protein geochemistry, evaluating degraded protein in water and sediments
- Sediment trapping, evaluating the impact of suboxia and anoxia on sinking particles
- Terrestrial tracers, evaluating different tracers for terrigenous organic matter in marine systems
- Ph.D., University of Delaware at Lewes
