Whales have always been thought of as one of the most majestic and beautiful mammals on the earth. These swimmers in the oceans are not only beautiful, but they are very educational as well. Join Mike Heun, Emily Burke, Melissa LaRue, and Scott Jewitt as we go through our lessons on our wonderful journey into the world of whales.

During this unit, you will dive down beneath the surface of the water to see things like "How big The Blue Whale is", and some of the differences between the different species of whales. There are also many informative and educational lessons that are perfectly suited for the middle school level. There are debates on whaling as well as "Jeopardy" games based on the actual television series. There are also many science experiments that the students will really enjoy participating in.
