The image at right shows the Edit Resource page for the COSEE-OS resource "Cow Rumen (How Cows Produce Methane)". It was accessed by clicking on the title for this resource on the List Resources page, which opens the Show Resource page, and then clicking on the orange link for Edit This Resource located at the top of that page. The fields and elements on this page are described as follows: Site. Center name, in this case Ocean Systems, which is automatically supplied by the CMS. Category. A drop-down list of groups used for filtering resources. A resource may belong to more than one category. Type. A drop-down list of formats used for filtering resources. Title. The title of the resource (try to keep this short). Description. A description of the resource for posting on the Resources page. This field will also display in the META Description tag in the source code. The description field will not support links or images added via the [[LINK]] and [[IMAGE]] tags, but you may add these manually. In the image at right, COSEE-OS has placed their IMG tag inside a table to right justify the photo and provide spacing between text and image (see finished result here). File. Use this field if your resource is a document to be located on our server. To upload a new document or replace an existing one, click the Browse button to find the file on your hard drive. Your file will upload when the page is submitted. A DOWNLOAD link posted at the end of the resource description will open the document for viewing or saving when clicked on. External URL. The location of the resource, if it is to be linked to externally. If your resource is linked to an external URL, the LINK link posted at the end of the resource description will take the user to the external web page. Leave this field blank if your resource links to an internal content page on your website or is a document meant to be downloaded from our server. Page. The location of the resource, if it is to be linked to an internal content page. Use the drop-down list to select the page you wish to link to. A MORE link posted at the end of the resource description will take the user to the selected content page. Leave this field on "none selected" if your resource links to an external URL or is a document meant to be downloaded from our server. META Keywords. A list of comma-separated words that describe the topic of this page. Click here for more information. META Author. The name of the person who created or posted this resource. Status. A drop-down list for characterizing your news item as active, pending, or deleted. You must make your news item active for it to be visible on the website. Submit/Cancel.
