Convergent Plate Boundaries #2
Convergent plate boundaries are zones where plates move together. In zones where continental crust meets oceanic crust, the oceanic crust slides beneath the continental crust. The oceanic crust eventually turns into magma and will assist in creating volcanoes.
Geology of Transform Plate Boundaries
Causes shallow earthquakes
Ocean crust is destroyed
Magma is created when oceanic crust is consumed under continental crust
Results in volcanoes
Happens at the edge of continents
