Man- Six feet long by sixteen inches wide and two feet seven inches high.

Woman- Five feet ten inches long by sixteen inches wide and two feet seven inches high.

Boy- Five feet long by fourteen inches wide and two feet seven inches high.

Girl- Four feet six inches long by twelve inches wide and two feet seven inches high.

1. With the materials you have, build a box that measures the same as your assigned group.

   For example, if you were building the boy’s area, you would build a box five feet long

   by fourteen inches wide and two feet seven inches high.

    

2. After building your box, decide which size you would belong in and crawl inside. How did

   it feel? Was it comfortable?

    

3. After cleaning up, begin working on your paper about the project. Remember to include the

   following things in your paper:

   1. The box you built.
   2. The box you fit in.
   3. How you contributed to your group.

   These questions may help you write the rest of the paper:
   1. How you felt in the box.
   2. How you think your experience was different from the slaves.
   3. Why do you think the boxes were black?
