Goals:
*The students will brainstorm ideas for a final party on the last day
*The students will use what they know about port cities to plan the party
Materials:
*Anything the students feel they need/want to have (within reason)

Procedure:
1. The teacher will talk to students about having a cultural party on the final day after the presentations to culminate the activity.
2. The teacher will have the students brainstorm ideas of things they could do or have at their party that would represent the cultures of the different cities. Ex: Music, Special dances, Food. Also suggest decorating the room for the party.
3. The students will make a finalized list of all the activities, etc. that will take place or be at the cultural party.
4. The teacher will assign things for the students to find/bring for this party.
Evaluation: The students won't really be evaluated for this activity. You may want to give extra credit points to those students who really help prepare for this party.
Approximate Time: 1/2 hour
Extensions:
-The students could research a specific dance, food, etc. and prepare so they could present it to their peers at the party.
