A. Find a nonfiction book on the history of ship
building. Write down the title, author, copyright date, name of
publisher, place publisher is located, and the call number.
B. In the encyclopedia look up a certain type of boat or ship and write a 1 paragraph summary on what you found. Some suggestions of types of ships are as follows:

C. Find a magazine article that deals with ships,
boats, or boating. Write down the name of the magazine, the
date of the issue, the name of the article, and the page numbers.
D. Find a fiction book on ships, boats, or
boating. Write down the reference information as in part A.
E. Find a newspaper article dealing with the
ocean. Write down the name of the newspaper, the name and date
of the article, the author, and the section/page the article is found
on.
F. Find a person who has been on a boat and ask them
about the experience. Write a short summary of the
interview.
