Procedure:
2. After they have completed a concept map, students will discuss careers that might be associated with each part of the concept map. The students may wish to create jobs which do not exist yet (They are encouraged to do this). The teacher should help students to discover possible jobs related to the Caribbean and not just tell them about them.
NOTE: Science fields are not the only jobs open in the Caribbean. Teaching jobs, museum curators, boat mechanics, and construction workers are also possible jobs related to the Caribbean, so try to include this in the discussion.
3. Once students have identified several career possibilities, now they must
choose one to write about.
B. Second, students will describe the job description, and the function of this person, and write it down.
