1. The students will view a movie that relates to the Caribbean or
was filmed in the Caribbean.

Resources/Materials:
television, VCR movies - please see The Video Source Book
by Anjanelle Klisz under the Caribbean section to select a
video, one option could be Cool Runnings which is a comedy that
takes place in Jamaica
Procedure:
1. The teacher will introduce the movie as a fun activity for the
students to just sit and enjoy. 2. The class will watch the movie.
Assessment: The students will be assessed by their cooperation in
watching the movie.
Curricular Strands:
This will depend upon the movie.
Possible Extensions:
Have a discussion about the movie when it is over.
