Final Draft of Letters

Day 3

Goals:

1. The students will compose final copies of letters and type them on the computer.

Time:

30-45 minutes

letters, paper, pens, computers

Procedure:

1. The teacher will hand back letters to students with errors marked on the letter that need to be changed.

2. The teacher will explain any and all errors that the students do not understand.

3. Students will make final corrections, type the letters on the computer, and show them to the teacher one last time.

4. If the letters are free of errors, they will be mailed out by the teacher otherwise, the students will have to continue correcting letters until they are free of errors.

Assessment:

Letters must be error free before they will be sent out into the mail. Once they are free of errors, students will receive full credit for them.

Typing - computer

English - writing and communication skills

Possible Extensions:

Students can write additional letters to various other places requesting more information.
