Feedback/Assessment
Day 5 each week
Goals:
1. The students will provide oral, as well as written, feedback on
what they thought of this week's activities.
Time:
30 minutes
Note: This activity will take place every Friday so the teacher
has open communication lines with his/her students, getting
immediate feedback as well as some evaluation.
Resources/Materials:
paper, pens, chalk, chalkboard
Procedure:
1. The teacher will bring the class together and ask for specific
feedback on the week's activities. Some possible questions the
teacher will ask for student input may be: What two activities
interested you the most? the least? Explain. What two activities
did you learn the most from? the least? Explain. What kind of
activities would you like to have done that we did not cover?
2. The students will also assess themselves as well as the
teacher on a scale of: Always, Most of the time, Occasionally,
Seldom, Not at all on such things as Helpful to others,
Participated in class discussion, Completed assigned tasks,
Contributed equally in group work, Used a variety of resources,
and Presented information in an understandable manner.
Assessment:
The students will be assess ed by themselves as well as the
teacher. The scale is as follows: Always, Most of the time,
Occasionally, Seldom, Not at all. The criteria include such things
as: Helpful to others, Participated in class discussion, Completed
assigned tasks, Contributed equally in group work, Used a variety
of resources, and Presented information in an understandable
manner.
